These hand held instruments are digital pH meters for use with the Sentron range of ISFET probes. The meters feature LCD displays with temperature pH and help information. The Argus X is completely sealed (IP67) and features inductive recharging and IR data download

The Sentron pH system offers ease of use, portability and a unique non glass probe that can be stored dry and requires no routine maintenance. These robust probes are suitable for just about any application, from laboratory clear liquids to field dirty samples. The probes are very rugged and can be easily cleaned with a toothbrush.

Ph is a measure of the degree of the acidity or the alkalinity of a solution as measured on a scale of 0 to 14. The midpoint of 7.0 on the pH scale represents neutrality. A "neutral" solution is neither acid nor alkaline. pH below 7.0 indicate acidity; pH above 7.0 indicate alkalinity. pH indicates the intensity of alkalinity or acidity in the same way temperature tells how hot something is but not how much heat the substance carries. More specifically, pH is the negative of the logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution. The hydrogen ion concentration is the weight of hydrogen ions, in grams, per liter of solution. In neutral water, for example, the hydrogen ion concentration is 10E-7 grams per liter; the pH is therefore 7. Since it is hydrogen that is responsible for acidity and alkalinity, the abbreviation "pH" stands for "potential of hydrogen." The neutral point of 7.0 actually indicates the presence of equal concentrations of free hydrogen and hydroxide ions.

USE ISFET TECHNOLOGY ON YOUR STANDARD pH Meter Intelliprobes - ISFET pH probes for standard 'glass' pH meters IntelliProbes are available in five different probe designs and come with either a BNC or DIN connector. Although all are suitable for general pH testing, each is tailored for specific types of applications. Hot-Line gel reference probes are for demanding applications up to 105° C. The Hot Line LanceFET Intelliprobes for measurements in meat, fish, etc. can be used in temperatures up to 60° C. Stream-Line flow-type reference probes incorporate a specially thickened KCl solution for a constant reference liquid outlet. Stream-Line probes are great for both low-conductive and pure water applications as well as highly concentrated or polluting samples. Intelliprobes are virtually unbreakable, and can be stored dry. The clog-restistant sensing area is easily cleaned using a simple toothbrush and requires minimal routine m aintenance. Standard Hot-Line Best suited for general purpose applications. The cut-out tip design allows testing of single drop samples. ConeFET Hot-Line or Stream-Line These are ideal for measuring pH in tick, dirty or sticky samples upto 105oC. SurFET Hot-Line or Stream-Line In this probe the ISFET pH sensor and reference junction are mounted on the distal end of the probe making direct surface measurements quick and easy. LanceFET The pointed stainless steel tip of this probe allows easy penetration in dense, very viscous samples and semi-solids. Ideal for meats and cheeses.
