Introduction to Spectrophotometers
The Anthelie series of UV - Visible spectrophotometers from Secomam are high quality feature rich instruments suitable for industrial and academic research laboratories in the fields of biology, chemistry, pharmacy, environmental and education. The range of instruments offer outstanding photometric characteristics, integrated software with built in applications and a graphics display. The instrument is available in two version 'Light' (1 nm resolution 2 line display) and 'Advanced' (0.1 nm resolution graphic display ). Each version is available with either 5nm or 2 nm bandwidth. Ergonomic Design
The unique design of the instrument case provides a spacious sample compartment. In addition the the whole outer case of the instrument swings upwards allowing instant access to the interior of the unit for the installation of accessories and changing the lamp.

Sample Holders and Accessories
The standard sample holder is a single cell holder for square or rectangular cells with an optical path from 10 nm to 100 mm in length. Even weakly colored solutions such as those found in sugar refining can be measured with this system.. Automated measurements can also be performed with the automatic sampler accessory which holds up to nine 10 mm square cells.

Graphic Display
The advanced models are fitted with an LCD graphical display where you can view up to 8 spectra simultaneously and use zoom, cursor and peak search functions. The display can also be used for navigation through the software menus and to set up plots for dynamic experiments such as absorbance vs time.
