Introduction to the Prim Spectrophotometers
The prim series of Visible spectrophotometers from Secomam are high quality feature rich instruments suitable for industrial and academic research laboratories in the fields of biology, chemistry, pharmacy, environment and education. These economical instruments offer outstanding photometric characteristics, integrated multi mode software and ease of use features The instrument is available in two version 'Light' and 'Advanced' - see the table below to compare features.

All units include a Jobin Yvon monochromator with protected holographic grating

Ease of Use
These spectrophotometers have bi-directional RS232C interfaces and a calculator style keypad making the instrument easy to set up and use. An programmable automatic standby function prolongs lamp life by automatically turning the instrument off when not in use

Spectroscopic Performance
The entire optical system is mounted on a rigid steel support guaranteeing excellent optical and spectro-photometric performance. The very small diameter beam associated with a focused detector (exclusive to Secomam ) offers 2 important advantages: measurement in small volume micro-cells and open lid measurements undisturbed by ambient light.

GLP and ISO compliance
When the instrument is first turned on it executes a full self test of all optical and electronic parameters and prints out a report with time and date.

Sample Holders and Accessories
	The standard sample holder is a dual cell manual 2 position cell holder for rapid measurements of blank or 2 x 2 samples. The cell holder snaps quickly into place with a unique clip system - no tools are needed.

Large LCD Display
Display is a 2 line 16 character display with back lighting. The characters are 8 mm high so the display is easy to read. Wavelength and absorbance are available in every mode.
