UVIband & UVImap : Common functions
- Image to be analyzed may be chosen from "montage"
reduced images.
- Image may be any one of ten file types (TIFF, BMP, GIFF,
etc.),
- Image manipulations include mirror, zoom, rotate, invert,
stretch contrast, cut and paste.
- Semi-automatic or manual lane definition with full editing
capability.
- Two methods for correction for local and global gel distortions
("smiles", "frowns", etc).
- Molecular weight/fragment size and pI calculation from standards
plus RF calculation
- Band quantification with fully automatic subtraction of
irregular background form across the entire gel.
- Calculation of relative band volumes using local or global
