Gel Casting for Mini and Midi series.
Removable UV
transparent gel casting tray with end gaskets which allow
the gel to be cast directly in the running tank |

| Lift
the gel running tray out of the electrophoresis unit. Make
sure that the silicone gasket is seated evenly in the
groove, with the ends flush with the top of the tray. Turn
the tray through 90 degrees |

| Insert
the tray so that the silicone rubber forms a tight, leak
free seal with the walls of the gel tank |
| |
| The
agarose gel should be poured into the tray and allowed to
set. When ready, lift the running tray, turn it through 90
degrees and replace in the tank |

| Gel is
ready for sample loading and run. |

Gel Casting for Maxi Series
Remove the casting
gates from the gel casting tray. Make sure that the
silicon gaskets in the casting gates are seated evenly in
the grooves, with the ends of the gaskets flush with the
tops of the gates. Place the gaskets into the grooves of
the gel casting tray with the silicone rubber gasket
facing the outside of the tray |

| Insert
the gates into the ends of the UV tray and the comb(s)
into the comb slots |

| Agarose
gel solutions should be cooled to 50 degs C, poured into
the tray and allowed to set |

| When
ready the casting gates and comb(s) are removed and the
gel casting tray placed in the electrophoresis unit |
