Designed
to provide safe and easy operation for the separation
of nucleic acids and proteins. These new unit provides
a basic non cooled single gel system which can be
used with any commercially available pre-cast gels. The
system comes complete with a set of float glass plates
with bonded spacers and sample comb.

Mini - TV100 10 x 10
The 10 x 10 cm vertical electrophoresis
unit can run two gels or commercially available cassettes
for the separation of nucleic acids or proteins. The
unit uses the large buffer volume in the bottom
tank to act as a coolant. The running buffer can be pre-chilled
prior to electrophoresis or additional cooling can be
achieved by using an optioanl bottom cooling
block, which has hose connectors allowing connection
to a circulating water bath. The base unit is specifically
desinged for precast gels. With the TV100Y kit gels can
be poured directly into the gel running frame
which connects them to the top buffer tank. A
guaranteed leak proof seal is obtained with sprung
clamping bars and screws. The complete gel assembly
is then placed in the bottom buffer tank and can
be fully submerged with the running buffer. This
is the unit of choice for medium length We recommend
the use of the optional gel casting base.
Maxi TV400 20 x 20 cm Maxi
The Maxi TV400 unit is the
standard large format Scie-Plas vertical electrophoresis
unit built along the same lines as the mini 10 x 10 above
but with an active gel dimension of 16.5 x
17.5 cm more samples can be run over a longer distance |

laboratories with a large number of samples to screen. Running samples on one
20 cm wide gel eliminates the problem of comparing samples from two 10 cm gels.

Electrophoresis Force Gauges and Stands Gas Monitors 
The
new TV series
Vertical gel electrophoresis units from Scie-Plas are a new
generation of vertical gel electrophoresis systems with new
features for forming sealing and handling electrophoresis gels.
The TV series features a completely new gasket sealing system
that elliminates leaks and stress on the glass plates. The new
soft foam seal is specially shaped with a broad, ribbed sealing
surface which ensures a
leak tight seal without stress, bowing or lane distortion. The
new gel tanks have a gently curved outer shape making them easy
to grip and use. For electrical safety the shrouded electrodes
connections attached to the lid which has assymetric locators
to ensure the correct polarity connections.
