Dew Point 
The dew point is defined as the lower temperature to which air must be cooled in order for condensation to occur. The dew point is dependent on the concentration of water vapor present, and therefore on the relative humidity. 

Portable Dew Point Meter 
The Alpha DSP-Ex is a self contained portable hygrometer for use in industrial and laboratory applications. The instrument is easy to use and the patented DewSmart technology ensures accurate and reliable reading for a long period of time with little or no maintenance. The desiccant dry down chamber and stainless steel quick connectors greatly speed up the preparations for making measurements.
    The DSP-Ex is certified intrinsically safe to EEx ia llC T5. Designed for use at atmospheric pressure the hygrometer is available in a six different ranges covering an overall range of -110°C to +20°C dew point with the display selectable in most common engineering units: DegsC, DegsF, ppm(v), ppb(v),  ppm (w), gm/m3 and lb/MMSCF. The ppm (weight) scale can be programmed for gases other than the pre-programmed gases, Air, Ar, H2, SF6, CO2 & N2, by inputting the molecular weight.
Dry Down Chamber
The sensor must always be drier than the sample to be measured. The dry down chamber achieves this by keeping the sensor surrounded by desiccant when the instrument is not in use. The sensor is only exposed to the sample gas during a measurement and is never in contact with ambient air.
